Is Affiliate Marketing Really That Easy?

CapForge Founder and Owner Matt Remuzzi reacts to the reality of the hard work needed for affiliate marketing to work and how it’s much harder to make $1,000 a day than people say it is.

I’m sorry but it is so easy to make $1,000 a day online. All you have to do is make two sales a day on a product that pays you 500 bucks per sale. And you don’t even have to create a product yourself. You can just sell someone else’s product for a commission. I don’t think you realize how many products cost more than $500 that you can sell. Like there’s a huge market for people who can spend that kind of money. I wanted to just see if I could do it so I found a product that pays me $500 per sale and now three months in I make like four sales a day, that’s $2,000 a day $730,000 a year and I’m a 23 year old who dropped out of college. Like okay, I’m literally in the top 1% of earners and three months ago I was working a minimum-wage job. It’s called digital and affiliate marketing. If you wanna try it you can just watch all my videos. It’s all I talk about. Like I just realized recently that like you have complete control over your life. It’s crazy I don’t know.

Matt: 

Okay well I agree with the last part, you have complete control over your life. You make your own decisions and then you reap the consequences of those decisions. If you decide you wanna work a minimum wage job and that’s what you wanna do that’s your decision. If you decide you wanna jump into affiliate marketing you can certainly do that too. But it’s not like I’m crazy, that you can make $1,000 a day. I don’t know why he’s whispering. Yes, you can make $1,000 a day, you can make $10,000 a day, you can also make nothing a day. It’s not so simple as he’s saying, right? If you wanna sell two products a day that each cost $500, guess what? You need, you need to get those products in front of people who are interested in buying products that cost $500 a day. And unless you happen to have access to a free pool of customers, it’s going to cost you money to get in front of those people usually using ads to get their attention and then suggest these products to them and then some portion of them will sell or buy those products, right? But how much does it cost you to get in front of enough people who are interested in your 500-dollar product to get one sale that you get paid 500 dollars on? What if it costs 600 dollars worth of ads to get in front of one person who buys a 500-dollar product? Now you’re losing 100 dollars a day. I can give you a plan on how to lose 100 dollars a day. There that was it, you don’t have to watch any more videos. This is the one that covers the whole thing. 

So yes you can sell products that cost $5 you can sell products that cost 500 or 5,000. That isn’t the hard part. Having somebody that buys a product for that much, yes, that happens every day, all over the world. The hard part is having them buy it from you because you got in front of them and you were the last person they saw before they click that buy button and your affiliate link is associated with that buy button. That’s the hard part. And if you know how to do that, great, it’s not gonna be free. The trick is getting the 500-dollar sale for less than $500 in cost to get it and then you’re making that margin and that’s not easy at all. And there’s a ton of competition and sitting on your couch in a hoodie and whispering about it is not really enough information for you to be able to do that successfully. People definitely can and if that’s something you’re interested in, by all means, research and investigate how you can make money using this plan. But don’t imagine that a guy working a minimum wage job three months ago if that’s true story, who suddenly super wealthy because of this one thing and it was that easy. Or how much he’s making in sales is really how much he’s keeping, or any of that. Just be informed. And yes, make decisions because you can decide how your life goes, but not necessarily by following this guy.
