Business Advice Video:
All of my best decisions in business and in life. When you can make a decision with analysis you should do so, but it turns out in life, that your most important decisions are always made with instinct, intuition, taste, heart.
Matt’s Review:
Okay, that was the founder of Amazon suggesting that most business decisions that matter
are made from the gut, and I would say I yeah somewhat agree with that. I think you know you can do a certain amount of analysis, you can do a certain amount of data study, you can do a certain amount of research, but the decisions you make, especially the ones that turn out well, have to kind of be in alignment with how you personally feel about stuff. If you’re getting into a business that you have a passion for, you think you can do a great job, you can serve the customers well, you can treat your employees well, you can grow it, and it’s a good business, something you feel good about and it’s probably gonna go well. If you’re doing it just because you think you can make some money or you know you don’t really like it, but it just came out as the highest-ranking business in some arbitrary list of criteria, it’s probably not gonna go as well. So I would say I agree with Jeff here, that this is probably true. You do make a lot of business decisions from the gut. At the end of the day, we’re all people, our gut is there for a reason to give us feedback that we should probably listen to.
