Business Advice Video:
I just made $317 while on my daily little walk. Let me tell you how. I just checked on one of my stock contributor dashboards and saw that I made $317 in the past hour and a half just from iPhone photos that I’ve uploaded before. This is the photo that I’m referring to that made me $317 all while I was on my walk. Now I can sit back, go about my day, know that I’ve made money from markers and advertisers buying my iPhone photos to use in their campaigns. You could be doing the exact same thing as me.
Matt’s Review:
Not sure why she called it a hot girl walk. Maybe it was warm outside. That’s interesting. But as far as this business model, yes, people definitely pay for stock photos. Because nowadays there’s bots that scour the internet for licensed images. And if you got a licensed image on your website that you didn’t pay for you’ll get an email and they’ll demand money. And it’s a whole thing. So you really wanna use images that you have bought the rights to or that are designated free to use. Whatever they call it, the common use, or free use rights, or whatever. But so there is a market for people who need photos to use for things that they wanna be able to use legally. And that’s where stock photography comes in. The challenge is there’s a million people with a million cameras taking a million pictures. So for your picture to stand out in that giant sea of pictures, you gotta have a good collection of unique images that are the kinds of images that people wanna use and will pay for the rights to. So just going out and taking pictures of your dog or the parking lot or your building or the tree in the park by your house probably isn’t gonna cut it. You gotta have quality photos, well composed, well lit, of subjects that people are searching for and interested in licensing. So it’s not quite as easy as snapping a bunch of pictures with your iPhone and throwing them on a website and waiting for the checks to come. Like anything, it takes work. It takes a bit of luck. It takes the right opportunity, the right location, the right timing. And being good at taking photos. So if you got all that, by all means, try it. There’s no cost to put your photos out there. If no one buys them, no one buys them. But you can spend a lot of time and energy taking photos and end up having nobody ever pay you for any of them. So if you go into this business understand what you’re getting into. Research the market. Figure out what people are buying. And make sure you’re filling in a need in a unique way. Just like any business if you want to be successful.
