Business Advice Video:

Don’t say “100” say “99.99”. Don’t say “by now” say “try now”. Don’t say “learn more” say “discover more”. Don’t say “discount” say “special offer”.

Matt’s Review”

That’s five tips. I definitely agree the first one. For most people, 99 is better than 100. That’s just pricing psychology that’s been around forever. That’s not really a new discovery. The other things I mean “buy now” if people are looking to buy, “buy now” makes sense. “Try now” makes it sound like a trial. Do you have to give it back? Are you gonna have to pay more later? There are certain situations where “try now” might make more sense. There’s plenty of people looking for discounts, so special offers just a fancy word for discount. I would say the best way to know for sure for your market is test it. Show half of the people one version half the people the other version and see which one performs better. That’s the best way to know what’s gonna actually work for you. But other than the first one the pricing tip, I’d say none of those are compelling enough to say for sure one is gonna work better than the other. It depends on the market, who you’re selling to, what you’re selling. And there might even be cases where a hundred bucks is fine. 99 doesn’t gonna generate a lot more sales than saying $100. Most of the time though if you’re not sure, you haven’t tested, you won’t take the time to test it, use 99 not 100. But all the rest of them, they really need to be tested to know whether that’s legit or not.
