Matt’s Review:
Back when I was in college, I don’t know if our college was unique that way but we used to do a thing called Primal Scream. And it was I guess around the end of finals or maybe it was a couple nights, I don’t remember. It’s been a long time since I was in college. But anyway, I do remember that we used to do a thing called Primal Scream. And it was at 9 o’clock at night, usually around finals, everybody knew what time it was. Everybody would go out, come out of their dorm rooms, go out on their balconies or open their windows, and just scream and yell and vent all their frustration and stress and everything else. And it was kinda cool. and it was an event to see and be part of. and it was fun. But it was also free and you didn’t need a pillow. And I don’t see this being – I mean there’s lots of ways to express frustration and yelling is one of them and it can feel good to let it out. And I don’t know that you necessarily need to scream it into a pillow. Or what’s wrong with using the pillow you sleep with if you wanna yell into a pillow? Or that you’re gonna have this thing handy in the moment when you feel like you need to yell and there’s no other outlet for your stress. The whole thing just seems like a gimmick to me. And it may very well get some traction and sell out through IndieGoGo or Kickstarter program or something. But I feel like it’s very much a fad, flash in the pan. nobody on an ongoing basis, I don’t imagine, is gonna spend money to buy a pillow to yell into. It’s not a market that really exists. It’s an impulse buy because you happen to see it in the moment when you felt like yelling and it seemed like a funny cool thing to buy or something. Maybe as a gag gift, it survives longer term but I don’t see this becoming something that people actually are turning to on a regular basis for stress relief. Ah, I could be wrong. Maybe we all need a good primal scream. Maybe 9:00 every night should be the screaming minute. And everyone goes outside their house and screams and just lets it all out. And that’s just a normal thing we all do. That might be a cool idea. A scream pillow, hmm I don’t know. I don’t see it.
