Matt’s Review:

There’s been pool alarm since I was a kid and we had a family swimming pool. So I’m not sure if this is anything new really. I mean there seems to be a trend of taking at least in these product reviews, startup company reviews that we do, of taking something that was a regular device, maybe adding WiFi or Bluetooth, adding a camera, calling it AI-powered. Although it’s questionable what the AI part of this is. And then selling it for you know a premium pricing. And saying it’s new technology or a brand new product. I mean it seems like maybe it could be a little bit better than the average pool alarm. I don’t know what the price is gonna be for this. How much they are planning to charge for it? It seems like though it’s not a substitute for being vigilant, having a pool fence, teaching your kids how to swim, all those things are probably better than having a device that is supposed to alert you. But maybe if it works really well and if they did a side-by-side test with other pool arms. And this one consistently detected when somebody was in the pool that shouldn’t have been or when somebody was in trouble. It worked in different conditions. And didn’t get burned out from being out in the sun and outside day after day for a long time. Maybe it’s worth the price. This is just seems like one of those. Another trending thing like we saw the birdhouse and the food sealer product and just all kinds of stuff or the room heater. Adds a camera, adds some electronics, adds WiFi and suddenly it’s supposed to be a brand new product that’s much much better than anything we’ve had before. I think a lot of it is riding the AI hype. But we’ll see if these things start popping up everywhere then we’ll know they figured out a good solution.
