We’re back with another startup review video. In this video, Matt looks over an Indiegogo campaign video for SPARQ Diagnostics. However, it doesn’t go into why it’s better than all the other same devices on the market, except maybe the AI feature. Watch to see if Matt thinks AI is going to make this product stand out.
CapForge has worked with 1000+ ecommerce businesses and other small businesses and has seen some great products out there!
In this series, we look at new products on the market and see if they are worth investing in. Think along the lines of Shark Tank, but with no real money involved just for fun.

Matt’s Review:
So interesting point at the end there, of the video, it just says “Order now. Delivered December 2023”. But of course, right now we’re nearly in October of 2024 [at the time of this recording]. So that makes me wonder what is going on. Is this an old video? Actually, the date on it also says 2023. Presumably, there is some “well what happened with this”? But in looking at it, one of the first things that jumps out at me is, is this really artificial intelligence, or is this just an error code reader? And if you get certain errors then it says “Oh. these are probably gonna be maintenance problems.” or “They’re gonna be you know this is gonna be expensive to fix” or “Easy to fix” I don’t know that’s really AI. But I guess that aside who’s the customer for this? I don’t know if it’s professional auto repair people. If they have better things and this is just gonna be easier to use. Or work across more brands. Or if this is more targeted for the home user. Somebody likes to work on their own cars but it’s stymie because more and more cars have error codes and computer boards versus just mechanical parts and things you can fix yourself. I’m not sure exactly who the market was. They didn’t make it clear. They didn’t show auto repair stuff at all. Was just a video of the tool itself in use inside of a car really. So I’m not sure who the market is for. I’m not sure what the price points gonna be. And I’m not sure how much the predictive power is supposed to be helpful versus just finding out what’s actually currently wrong with your car. And I don’t know how many other tools. I know there’s other error code tools out there that you can get to kind of read and fix what’s wrong with the car. And erase the codes if the problem’s been fixed or you want to appear that the problem has been fixed. I don’t feel a good feel for this one. But I’m really curious now that all the dates are around 2023. What happened with this one? And whether or not it actually made it out into the real world and was a successful product or not. So maybe we can look into that and add that tag to the end of the video as to what actually happened with this one. And if it’s available for sale in the real world now. And if so how much?
