When I look back at my kitchen table startup and then selling my last company for $235 million, the one thing that made the biggest difference was my relationships.
Matt’s Review:
There’s definitely something to be said for business relationships. If you know the right people who can introduce you to the right customers, the right vendors, the right employees, that’s gonna take you a long way. If you’re trying to do everything yourself. You won’t you know listen to people’s advice or help. Or build relationships. Or you’re the kind of person who isn’t good at talking to people. And people don’t generally like you. This is gonna make everything harder. I think there is a lot to be said for the human side of business no matter what business you’re in. You’re gonna work with people. You’re gonna sell to people. You’re gonna hire people. People are gonna be your vendors and your customers and your employees. You have to get good with people and build relationships if you wanna be really successful. for the most part, right? There certainly people who are not good at that and still manage to build really successful businesses. But by and large, if you’re good at that, if you’re good at connecting with people, getting people to like you, being genuine, being helpful, giving value before you try to take anything or ask for anything, that goes a long way. So I think this is solid advice that most people will benefit from.
