Business Advice Video:

If you’re a salesperson and want to make more sales, say these four words to your customers every time. Put the majority on their side by saying this: most people choose this. Psychologically your customer is going to have a much easier time making a decision knowing that they’re in the majority.

Matt’s Review:

All right I do agree that social proof is a key part of selling, right? People want to know that other people have made similar choices and had good results. So that’s why you put customer testimonials and you demonstrate that you’ve gotten good reviews and people sometimes ask for references or referrals when making a buying decision. And this is just more of the same, right? You’re just telling them and hoping that they trust you when you say that most people have picked the thing that you picked. It’s a nice little psychological trick. I don’t think it’s going to dramatically boost your conversion rates or have a huge impact on your sales, but it’s a nice little thing to throw in there. And hopefully, it does have a minimal impact. It doesn’t cost anything to do, so why not do it?
