Business Advice Video:

What I would recommend for most people is you have two products that you’re selling in your business. At least until your business is very established. One of those products should be a high-ticket product of some kind. High-ticket can mean different things depending on your niche, but typically that means a minimum of $500 all the way up to$5,000, $10,000 and even higher. The other product that I believe you should have besides a high-ticket product is a recurring product of some kind, something that gives you recurring income, monthly income that is stable and predictable.

Matt’s Review:

All right. I think this advice is pretty poor. What he suggests for most people is one, that you have one very expensive thing that you sell and then you have one other thing you sell that people have to pay for every month. Well, I mean, it’s like saying, I suggest if you want to have a nice life, you find a great companion and you have a lot of money.  Well, okay, cool, yeah, that sounds good, but that’s so far off from being helpful to where I am today, what am I supposed to do with that, right? So how are most people supposed to have a very high ticket item? How’s the average person supposed to say, oh, great. Do you think I should sell a high ticket item between 500 and 5,000 or $10,000? Well, what if that doesn’t fit with anything I could possibly sell to anybody, then then what, right? He’s saying most people should have this. I realize it’s the internet and it’s short videos and it’s not really gonna be targeted very well, but this is just such generic, useless, pointless advice that I don’t see what’s the point of producing it. So I guess what’s the point of me reacting to it? It’s pointless both sides, but this isn’t gonna help anybody. It sounds good maybe when he says it to himself. Oh ohh yeah, this would be great if everybody could do this, but it’s so not generally applicable to the vast majority of people, and also so generic in general that I don’t know how it’s really supposed to help anybody. I would say if you don’t have a high-priced product to sell to somebody and you don’t have a recurring product to sell to somebody, don’t feel like you can’t be an entrepreneur. There’s a million other ways to be in business without having either of those things, and people have been very, very successful with them. I would ignore this advice if you don’t feel like it fits you, it probably doesn’t, and move right along.
