Matt Remuzzi, Owner/Founder
My name is Matt Remuzzi and I started CapForge back in 2000 after being laid off from a venture backed firm as part of the dotcom bust happening at the time. I have a BA from UCSD and an MBA from SDSU. CapForge started out as a consulting business for small businesses and has never strayed far from those roots.
In 2012 bookkeeping became the focus, with more accounting services added in each year including tax prep, payroll, coaching and advisory services, due diligence, and business exits all becoming part of the services offered. I continue to work on growing the business while the team runs the day to day operations and continues to ensure we’re always providing five star quality and service to our clients.
I was born in New York, grew up in LA and moved to San Diego for college and never left. My wife, son, daughter and two Labradors and I all now live in Carlsbad.

No Magic Bullets
I think as business owners we are generally optimistic people. We have high hopes that things will work out as we wish and that the results we get will justify the sacrifice and effort we put in. The problem with being optimistic is that sometimes you end up buying into wishful thinking... -
